An Introduction to the Department of Social Sciences
“What is the essence of human nature?”, “How did our ancestors think and live?”, “What makes modern social structures tick?” If you are interested in things like these, the Department of Social Sciences is the ideal place for you to study.
The Department of Social Sciences offers three courses – Philosophy & Ideology,History, and Sociology. Some students aim to obtain teaching licences (high school geography, history and citizenship; junior high school social studies) or a professional librarian’s qualification. All sorts of paths are open to graduates; some progress to graduate school, others join the civil service, the media, advertising, tourism, or business.
Departments and courses will be reorganized for students who enroll from 2016 on. For details, please see here.
