Students at the Faculty of Humanities at Yamaguchi University come from all over Japan including the Kyushu, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions, as well as from Yamaguchi Prefecture where the university is located. Adjusting to daily life in a new environment can be a stressful experience, however, Yamaguchi City is a very friendly and convenient place to live. Almost 90% of Yamaguchi University students live in boarding houses or apartments, and in many ways life is easier them in the big cities.

Scholarships

The Japan Student Services Organization and other organizations offer loans and scholarships for strong academic performers whose studies are being hindered by financial difficulties and eligible students can get help with university expenses.
